I’m interested in evidence-based approaches to understanding and tackling social issues, ultimately creating a more equitable world. My research has appeared in several outlets including National Tax Journal. I hold a PhD in Economics from UC Davis.
My specializations include applied econometrics, causal inference, and equilibrium modeling, with applications in program evaluations and asset pricing.
Some of the work I’m most proud of is creating new causal inference toolkits and risk models, and measuring how market indices that investment funds track create arbitrages in developing countries’ sovereign debt markets (Benchmarking and Sovereign Risk), understanding pass-through along supply chains (Trade Policy Pass-through at Dock vs Store), and estimating the real-time costs of Trump’s tariffs in 2025 (Tariffs on Medical Goods).
Currently
- I’m currently seeking a new position in Data Science/Quantitative Modeling.
- Continuing to study trade policy and AI’s impacts on the global macroeconomy.
- I am working on open-sourced projects on Edutech.
